Lysonic Archival Ink

The original and still the most popular colour inkjet ink available for Giclee fine art printing. Using unique specially developed dyes, Lysonic has an estimated indoor display life of 65-75 years without noticeable fade on pure cotton acid free paper. When used in conjunction with Lyson media, Lysonic ink preserves the colouring and expression achieved by the original artist.

Fotonic Ink
Designed for printing photo-realistic images with subtle details and extreme colours, Fotonic ensures the full range of scanned colours can be reproduced through your printer. The Fotonic colour gamut is approximately 20% wider than most other inks in the yellow, green, pink and blue areas*. Combined with high light stability, Fotonic provides a perfect balance between colour and archival requirements. Fotonic has an indoor display life of over 25 years without noticeable fade** on some media, which exceeds conventional silver halide photographs and most other dye based inkjets on the market.

PhotoChrome Ink
PhotoChrome provides a unique alternative to Epson's pigmented Ultrachrome ink set for the Epson 2100, 7600, 9600 and 10600. This seven colour ink set features a new light black ink for enhanced neutral greyscale reproduction and an enhanced colour gamut in comparison to the OEM inks.

Once the PhotoChrome inks are installed in your printer there is no need to change between matt and photo black ink cartridges even when switching from Fine Art to Gloss substrates. These inks will produce great results on all good quality inkjet papers, this means greater convenience and productivity and less ink wastage. The lightfastness of the pigments used in this inkset will create a superb display life on good quality inkjet substrates.

Available in cartridges and in bulk supply. Lyson also provide continuous ink and bulk feed systems for the Epson 2100, 7600 and 9600.

Quad Black Ink
Using a four or six colour inkjet printer, Quad Black Neutral Inks can produce stunning monochrome images, whilst retaining the maximum detail in mid-tone, shadow and highlight areas of the original image. The Quad Black process uses four or six intensities of black ink in place of normal CMYK, DC, DM colour cartridges eliminating colour casts often associated with monochrome images produced using colour ink sets.

Quad Black prints on Lyson Fine Art Media have an independently certified indoor display life of over one hundred years when printed onto Lyson Standard Fine Art paper (Wilhelm Research, Aug 2000).

Small Gamut Ink

This unique ground breaking method of printing multi-toned monochrome prints using just one ink set has revolutionized the quality and flexibility of digital photographic print making. With full control of hue and subtle coloration, users may perform simple colour adjustments in their image software to create innumerable tonal effects. Small gamut allows users to apply stunning tonal graduations to individual print areas or to combine limitless colour variations depending on their requirements. With the ability to precisely control coloration and hue, Small Gamut avoids the grey scale non-linearity that plagues black and white prints produced with full colour ink sets. Tonal effects such as selenium-toned silver; black and warm grey duotone; warm tone; cool tone; absolute neutrality; split tone; or even localised colour can be achieved. It is even possible to fully re-create monochrome effects produced using early photographic techniques. The colours and material of the original can be identically reproduced time after time with consistent coloration.

Dye Sublimation Ink
Introducing Lyson Subliming inks for heat transferring, or printing directly, onto polyester based products of all types. Wherever a creative, colourful, clear message, logo or design is required, Lyson Subliming Ink can provide the ideal digital ink set.

Textile Application
Designed for printing onto polyester substrates, these versatile inks will sublime onto polyester rich apparel fabrics, for example sports wear; carpet fabrics; sails and flagging material. Fabrics retain their natural handle making this process ideal for garment sampling and also promotional banners. These printed fabrics are hard wearing and washable.

Hardware Application
Lyson Subliming Ink is a perfect solution for heat transferring images onto pre-coated ceramics, metals and plastic. The list of applications is endless: mugs, decorative tiles, fridge magnets, mouse mats, trophies and even surf boards!!! Due to the wide variety of substrates available, working with these inks opens the door to short or long run, quick response promotional gifts and product sampling. The process of transferring the image is quick and clean with excellent transfer from paper to the substrate.

Lyson subliming inks produce brilliant colour and good light fastness when applied to polyester and polyester coated substrates. Applying heat to the printed image with a press, whether through transfer paper or directly, fixes these vivid inks into the polyester substrate allowing the item to be washed time and time again.

Lyson Professional Media

Lyson's unique archival-coated media produces bright, crisp images with the least compromise on image permanence. The Lyson inkjet paper range is designed for use with Epson, Canon, Roland, Mutoh, Agfa and Mimaki inkjet printers. ICC colour profiles are available to provide professional colour accuracy when the paper is used with Lyson archival inks.

Desktop Continuous Ink System (CIS)

Lyson are now able to offer a continuous ink system (CIS) which provides significant cost savings to the high-volume ink user. 125ml ink bottles, equivalent to 10 sets of ink cartridges, mean those with an eye for economy can print their digital images and scanned photographs for less.

The Lyson CIS is a well proven and reliable system, which was recently awarded 90% in a review in Practical Photography magazine (September 2002). The review highlighted "Setting up is easy, the instructions are clear....getting the inks into the cartridges is particularly easy - a syringe and tube clips make the system almost foolproof and there's no need for any follow-up processes to get rid of any air-bubbles."

Lyson Digital Portfolio's
Using the patent pending Stonehinge(TM) binding system, Lyson smooth Fine Art "Portfolio" paper can be converted into a digital album. Double-sided hinged photo album pages are 100% cotton rag 300gsm Smooth Fine Art paper that are coated on both sides.

The hinged photo album pages are designed to easily fit and install into the Stonehinge(TM) Cover Sets. The European book cloths used for the covers are beautiful and durable, pH neutral and free of any solvents. Binding hardware to bind a 50 page book is included in each cover set.

The portfolios are available in three sizes; 8"x8", 12"x12" and 12"x15", with a choice of four colours of cover set; black, grey, sepia and ivory. The full album kit is supplied with an album cleaning cloth, 25 sheets of hinged pages, Cover Set, 25 interleaves and a metal edged preservation box.
